Chiropractic care promotes a more comfortable pregnancy:

With the body changing drastically, the spinal column itself moves to accommodate a child and the extra weight. The pelvis undergoes many changes to compensate for the growing baby as well. Risk of misalignments and interference of the nervous system can increase as pregnancy continues. The pelvis supports the growing uterus with specific ligaments. If the bones of the pelvis are out of alignment, this will cause asymmetrical ligament support of the uterus. This results in a more difficult passage for the baby during delivery.

These structural changes can affect the nerves and the spinal cord, disrupting the normal communication of information between the brain and the body. Dr. Robin Linster can adjust the spine and extremities utilizing a variety of techniques including the Activator technique to help the body feel relaxed and subside pain or soreness.

Benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy:

  • Decreased lower back pain
  • Reduce or eliminate headaches
  • Reduction of nerve pain
  • Decreases joint pain

Chiropractic care to promote healthier infants, children and teenagers

When children come into this world, their bodies will be subjected to various kinds of stress. Even at birth, infants can be susceptible to spinal misalignment due to fetal positions in utero, a slow birth or a c-section. A brief pediatric check-up is not designed to detect possible “hidden damage” that a chiropractic exam would discover.

Early detection is the key to preventing potential pain or discomfort in the future. As a child develops, things can happen along the way. Poor posture, falls, injuries during athletic activities, can all affect how the body properly develops if there are misalignments in the spine.

When nerve interference exists because of vertebral subluxations, Chiropractic has been able to help with many conditions:

  • Infantile Colic
  • Allergies/Sinus Issues/Asthma
  • Constipation/Digestive Issues
  • Headaches / Migraines
  • Chronic Ear Infections
  • Scoliosis Detection and Treatment
  • TMJ Syndrome

Naturally ensure that a child is happy and healthy with chiropractic

The first thing we will do is to conduct a thorough history of your child’s health and any complaints. This is followed by a complete physical examination of the child’s spine.

When Dr. Linster performs spinal adjustments for infants and young children, it will involve a gentle fingertip pressure or the tip of the Activator instrument to correct spinal misalignments (subluxations). This will gently restore mobility to spinal joints. A child’s spine generally responds faster compared to an adult’s spine. The actual number of adjustments will vary depending on many factors, such as the length of time the problem has been present. Parents can feel confident about the safety of chiropractic for their child since it is non-invasive and medication free.

Thank you again for helping me solve my lingering shoulder issues.  As we discussed, I have seen several professionals over the years and while some provided temporary relief, this is the first time the improvements have lasted.  To think a couple simple exercises if done correctly and consistently could solve a 20 year issue.

I have seen Robin Linster for multiple issues and she has helped me get through them. Not only does she try to help her patients with their pains, she allows them to learn how to help themselves. I’ve seen a bunch of physical therapist that didn’t help not care as much as she does.
